I Never Knew You

I have come to see that it’s a blessing to know Jesus, but more of a blessing when Jesus knows you.  Have you ever had someone to talk about you as though they personally knew you? As though they have spent time with you in getting to know all about you? But when asked if you knew the person, your reply would be "no". LIKEWISE, there are MANY who SAY they know Jesus Christ, but due to no intimate time spent with Him on a daily and continuous basis, they are not KNOWN to Him (Matthew 7:23).

Reminiscing . . .

Our oldest daughter recently rejoined Facebook. She posted her baby pictures and one of them reminded me when I became a mother for the very first time. When she was several weeks old, she became sick. For three days and nights, I did not get any sleep due to constantly watching over her. On the fourth morning, I noticed that she was still agitated. My husband had to work and my mother and grandmother lived about an hour away and they could not help me. Sitting in the rocking chair, I suddenly cried out with a loud voice and said, "I do not know how to be a mother. Please help me." I want you to know that at that moment, I was not a Christian. I continued to say those words several times with tears flowing down my face. Then suddenly, my baby became well and the tears instantly stopped. From that day until today, I had and have no problem with being a mother, either to my child or to another woman's child. The LORD God had given me His grace, the will and the strength to be a loving and caring mother to all children. Selah †

Look Beyond

One morning my husband and I arrived for Corporate Prayer only to find out that we were the only ones there. So my husband started fondling around with the media and I just sat down. The LORD spoke to me and said, "Terry, why are you looking at your husband as only your husband? Stop looking at him as your husband and start looking at him as a member of the Body of Christ. Where two or three of you are gathered in my name, I am there in the midst of you. Since there are two of you, then you two are the Body of Christ, the Corporate Church." After hearing God's words, we began corporate prayer.

Dear Hearts, we must always remember that the person whom the LORD use is His vessel. We should NEVER look on them as just being our spouse, relative or friend. They are God's instrument and IF we believe that the anointing of God is upon them, we will be bless as they are blessed.

Why are the Enemy's attacks successful in my life?

The word "prosper" means "successful, succeed or happen as expected".  

The LORD God declares to us in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."

God's Word is true!  Then why do we experience attacks from the Enemy that seems to be successful or happen as expected?  Here's the answer.  Whenever we obey God's Word, it is ONLY then whatever weapon Satan forms against us will not succeed or happen as expected.  But IF we are experiencing attacks from the Enemy and it's evident that his weapons have succeeded in our life, then it only means that we have given the Enemy permission.  The permission is an open door.  This open door ALWAYS stem from disobedience to God's Word because the LORD said that the soul (the mind, will and emotions of a person) that shall sin or disobey Him, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20).  The Enemy takes full advantage of this particular word when someone, especially a child of God, choose to disobey the LORD. 

It also means that even God's servants, especially after ministering His Word, should not be experiencing bodily attacks such as falling downstairs, a broken arm or leg, scratches on their body, headaches as though someone is driving a nail in their head, stomach aches as though one has diarrhea, and choking as though someone's hands are around their neck.  These are merely a few demonic manifestations from Satan's attacks.  IF demonic manifestations are evident in the life of a Believer, then it only means that the individual has an opened door in which they have given the Enemy permission to be successful in using his weapons in their life.

In a nutshell, when we have obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit in every area that He has revealed to us and we continue to be lead and guided by Him, then with all surety we KNOW that the Word of God is true in which no weapon that the Enemy has formed against us is successful and will not happened as expected.

Disconnections, Saith the LORD!

disconnect = to separate, cut off, detach, disengage
soul = a person's mind, will, and emotions
ties = to bind, attach, knot, join 

In service, as we were worshipping the LORD, the pastor began to speak. Suddenly, I heard the elder speak as well. As my eyes were closed, I said, "Which is which? Is it the pastor or the elder?" So I opened my eyes, and I saw that it wasn't the pastor speaking, but the elder. I was shocked because he/she sounded just like the pastor. I then remembered that it had happened twice before, but I didn't pay any attention to it. I thought about it and then the LORD said, "There are no Siamese twins in the Kingdom of God."  

As I thought on the LORD's words, I decided to look up the word "Siamese" and it means "providing two-to-one connection". I also thought about the Siamese twins that were in national headlines in the 70s. They were older ladies whose heads were joined together from birth. It was sad and hideous to look at. By being joined together, it forms an unhealthy relationship because when one dies, the other dies. 

Well just like Siamese twins are known to be unhealthy relationships in the physical realm, it is so in the spiritual realm. We must remember that each of us are unique. Just as in the natural realm each person has their unique DNA, it's the same in the spiritual realm. The Word of God informs us to be imitators of Christ Jesus and we are ONLY connected or joined to Him by faith. For Christ Jesus is the "True Vine" and ALL branches are joined or connected to Him. Branches are not connected to branches. Therefore, we are not directly joined to each other. Life is ONLY in the true Vine, Christ Jesus. All other connections are unhealthy and produces death. We are ONLY joined to each other by being joined to Christ Jesus. This is the ONLY way we will have healthy relationships one with another.  

We should NEVER be DIRECTLY tied, binded, attached or joined to any other person or thing. We should not form "soul ties" or birth "spiritual Siamese twins" because it will produce unhealthy relationships in the spirit realm.   

Soul ties! Unhealthy relationships! Bad habits! All need to be disconnected in the spirit realm! Christ Jesus is the ONLY One Who can disconnect us from all unhealthy connections! Selah †

Glorify the God of the Man/Woman, Not the Man/Woman of God

My husband and I once visited a man's ministry.  During praise and worship as we were worshipping, I noticed in the spirit that the praise had shifted.  So I opened my eyes to see what was going on.  Then I saw that as the man of God was being escorted to the pulpit, most of the people were clapping their hands in praise to him.  This happened each time we visited.  On the last day of our visitation, the congregation conducted an Honor Service for the pastor.  One-by-one a person would give tremendous honor to the pastor.  Then suddenly, the LORD spoke through the mouth of a prophet who was visiting that Sunday.  He said with a loud voice, "That is too much honor for a man!"  My husband and I, and even our young daughters, looked at each other because we knew this was the voice of God.  We knew by the Holy Spirit that this was wrong.  They paid no attention to the prophet of God and continued honoring the pastor.  Let me say this.  That pastor was a man of God and a true worshipper.  His only weakness was that he continued to allow his congregation to give him more honor than God.  He did not and would not forbid the people in doing so.  Well, we decided never to return because we refused to honor him above God as the others.  Several months later that same pastor was in the headlines.  Young girls and boys of his national and international congregations accused him of sexual molestation.  He was found guilty and given 15 years in prison.  Now rather the accusations were true or not, I do not know.  All I know is that the LORD warned him through the mouth of His prophet and he failed to obey. 

Galatians 5:24 reads, "And they glorified God in me." Therefore, it is safe for you (and for the man/woman of God) to never glorify the man/woman of God, but to glorify the God of the man/woman.  Selah †

May the God of shalom make you completely holy—may your entire spirit, soul and body be kept blameless for the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

An Open Invitation to Demons - Oral Sex

In my initial walk with the LORD, the Holy Spirit taught me spiritual warfare and deliverance. Later He sent me to a Christian campground where He informed me that He would send a young lady to me. He did not tell me then what He wanted me to do with the young lady. So I just placed all my attention on worshiping the LORD.

One day my husband came to me and said that he wanted me to talk to this young lady regarding worship. I was so excited because I love to share with others what the Holy Spirit had taught me about worshiping until the Glory of God come forth. The next day the young lady showed up. When I saw her, the Holy Spirit spoke and said that He did not want me to talk with her about worship. He wanted me to cast a demon out of her. I immediately looked around and said, "By myself?" You see, I have never done this before. The Holy Spirit said, "Yes." So I said, "Okay, LORD. I will, but I do not want to see the demon manifest." The LORD then said, "My child, you do not need to."

I spoke to the young lady about what the Holy Spirit had shared with me regarding her deliverance. She confessed and admitted that it was true. I then proceeded at the instruction of the Holy Spirit to take her behind the building. I then laid my hand on her belly and immediately these words came out of my mouth, "In the Name of Jesus of Nazareth, I command you to come out of her!" She coughed and the demon left her. The Holy Spirit then told me to tell her what she needed to do in order to stay free.

Later that day in the evening worship service as I was worshiping, I saw her coming toward me. Her teeth were rapidly biting down as though something was trying to get back in. As I was twirling around in worship, I lifted my hand toward her and she immediately fell under the power of the Holy Spirit. The LORD then told me to go and tell her these words. I told her that the demon had left, but he was trying to fool her in believing that he had not gone so that he could return. The LORD then revealed to me that in order for her to stay completely free that she needed to talk with her husband about their sexual acts when she goes back home. She needed to let him know that she could no longer live in disobedience toward God in performing oral sex at his request. When I mentioned this to her, all she could do was say that is true. She knew the LORD had revealed this to me because I did not know her and if I did, I certainly would not have known what her and her husband was doing in the privacy of their bedroom. She lived in Canada while I lived in the USA. That demon entered her through the sexual act of oral sex with her husband.

She gave me her telephone number and we communicated for several years. But due to moving here and there, I lost contact with her. I often think about her and desire to communicate with her again.

The Point: When the Holy Spirit teach us, He will certainly demonstrate what He has taught. Also, just because you're married, it does not mean the door have been closed to sexual demons. We were given a mouth so that we can talk, to eat food and to drink water. Using our mouth to perform sexual acts is an open invitation to demons.

African Pastor's Prayer

This written prayer is found among notes, papers and books by a young African pastor in Zimbabwe after he was martyred.

I’m a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of His and I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure. I'm done and finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, or first, or tops, or recognized, or praised, or rewarded. I live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by Holy Spirit power.

My face is set. My gait is fast. My goal is heaven. My road may be narrow, my way rough, my companions few, but my guide is reliable and my mission is clear.

I will not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice or hesitate in the presence of the adversary. I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus. I must give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And when He does come for His own, He'll have no problems recognizing me. My colors will be clear!

The "Empty Seats" Syndrome

Syndrome =  A group of signs and symptoms that together are characteristics or indicative of a specific disease or other disorder. 

I was inspired to write this brief article after hearing a quote from Apostle Paul Wondracek, Pastor, Praise Church in Cary, North Carolina.  In his sermon, he said, "Empty seats speak louder than filled seats."   

When I heard him say those words, I was immediately reminded of three local assemblies in which my husband and I were lead by the Holy Spirit to be a part of for a season.  Each of them had one thing in common-empty seats.  At first I did not concern myself with the fact that the church had more empty seats than filled ones.  But as the pastor continued to minister the Word to us, it was as though those empty seats kept crying out to me for help.  About several months later, I finally asked the LORD for the reason that that local church was not growing.  It was in the Women's Intercessory Prayer that He answered me.  You see, even though the pastor, who was of Jewish descent, taught the written Word, he had a tendency to mention what theologians would say; and the LORD revealed to me that the church was controlled by a religious spirit.  The LORD also said that He would not send flock there to be taught by a religious spirit.  Therefore, the seats remained empty.  After the LORD exposed the stronghold of that local church to me, the pastor and the lady in charge of women's prayer began to control prayer and turned mightily against my husband and I.  This was my first experience with the "empty seats" syndrome.   

I will not go into details about the next two experiences, but will only name the strongholds.  They are a "spiritual clone" and a "spiritual bat".  All three of these local assemblies had one thing in common.  They all lacked corporate intercessory prayer.  Which resulted in only a few people showing up for services which caused more empty seats than filled ones.   

You may be wondering how can we avoid the "empty seats" syndrome in our local church.  There's only one way!  And it is through corporate intercessory prayer (which include men and women).  It is when the members of the Body of Christ come together and rely on the Holy Spirit working through them to make intercession.  This is the only way these strongholds can be pulled down in the local church.  Now I'm not talking about people coming together and praying what they think or feel they should be praying.  I'm talking about allowing the Intercessor, the Holy Spirit, to pray along with our spirit what He know should be prayed.  This is the ONLY way to rid the local church from the "empty seats" syndrome!  And it is ONLY by the Holy Spirit Who intercedes through and for us.  He knows the mind of God.  He knows EVERYTHING. 

Romans 8:26

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 

If you are a pastor and it seems as though the "empty seats" syndrome is evident in your local church, please check the church's prayer gauge.  First of all, do you have corporate intercessory prayer (which include men and women)?  If so, are you allowing the Holy Spirit to make intercession or are you controlling the prayers?  The Holy Spirit's desire is to set your church free from the "empty seats" syndrome; but He can only do it as you allow Him.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The Sin of the Parents

There’s one thing I ALWAYS appreciated of my mother.  Growing up, she never acted as though she never did anything wrong.  She would often admit to her failures and thanked the LORD for helping her through them.  As a child and teenager, she often would look at me and say, “Terry, the way you’re behaving now is not the way I behaved when I was your age.  You did not get that from me because I did the wrong thing.”  By her not being ashamed to admit her failures in front of her child meant a lot to me, because I could remember this one particular thing she did wrong and I did not want to follow in her footsteps.  When I was 15 years old, I heard a voice speak to me.  This voice said, “Terry, if you do not ask me now, you will be just like your mother.”  I immediately started to cry.  I understood exactly what the voice meant.  I cried out and said, “LORD, please do not allow me to do that.”  Then suddenly, a peace came over me.  You see, even though I hated this particular sin that my mother committed, hating it would not prevent me from falling in the same footsteps.  Some parents may not have been good parents and the child grow up hating the things that their parents did—thinking that by hating it, it will cause them to be good parents to their children.  This is not true.  What really would happen is that they will only end up doing the same thing their parents did to them to their own children.  When truly the ONLY way is asking the LORD with a contrite heart to help you not to go the wrong path as your parents did.  This is what the voice was saying to me.  And praise the LORD, it worked!

Go And Sin No More!

During my teen years, I attended a small bible study group every week. I was just beginning to enjoy meeting with the group without my mother forcing me to go. The Enemy was not happy in that I was beginning to pay special attention to the teaching. I would even study my bible at home. I learned a lot in God's Word. So to confuse things, the Enemy accused me of fornication and the pastor started to teach about fornication. As he taught, he noticed that I was excited about the teaching and witnessed to every word. This confused him and then he thought, she must not be guilty. So he then proceeded to say these words, directing his aim at me, "If you have not committed fornication but thought about it, you just as well go ahead and do it because you're guilty." I knew I was not even thinking about committing fornication, but his words confused me. As I meditated on what he said, suddenly a voice said to me, "No. I said, go and sin no more!" I knew exactly what the voice meant. I had recently read that when the religious leaders brought a woman to Christ Jesus that had committed adultery, He forgave her of adultery and then told her to sin no more. I understood that if a person has sinned in their heart by lusting after another person, then they should repent of that sin and sin no more, which means, do not proceed with the next step--the physical act. Selah.

When We Reject the Vessel That God Uses, We Are Rejecting HIM

This couple had a local Christian television program and asked me to minister TCM every 5th Sunday. So I agreed. Whenever I wasn't ministering, my husband and I would answer the call-in lines for them. The husband was scheduled to minister. As he was preparing, I glanced at him and SUDDENLY, I saw something. I immediately knew what it was and I was shocked. It was a demonic spirit of pride. I then said to myself, "I did not know he was like that." I didn't share my experience with my husband or the man's wife. The next day as I meditated on this, the LORD spoke to me and told me some things about the husband and especially how he treated his wife at home. He treated her one way in the presence of people, but differently at home. He did not respect her when they were at home. The LORD also said that the demonic spirit of pride was aware that I knew about it and that the husband told his wife not to talk to me again and do not associate with me because I was a witch and of the devil. Again, I did not share this information with no one. Later on that day, the wife called me. She was crying and very upset. Before she said anything to me, I told her everything the LORD had told me. She admitted all of it as being true. I then told her to obey her husband in not associating with me. I told her that even though we may not see each other, in our hearts, we are still friends. The next week, the husband came to our house (unaware of me knowing what he had told his wife) asked to borrow my husband's ladder. I said, yes. As he was talking to me, one word started coming up from my spirit. I looked at him and said, "I hear the LORD saying, "RESPECT". I then proceeded to tell him that he must respect his wife. I knew he was rejecting what I was saying only because I was a female. So I said to him, "There is no gender in the spirit." He replied, yes, it is; and then he walked away.

The Point:

It is very sad when the Word of God is being rejected due to the fact that the vessel in the physical realm in which the LORD uses is female. Selah.

The Enemy Might Be Lurking-Exist Unsuspectedly in Your Soul

I was looking for a particular book in our bookcase when I came across "The Spiritual Man by Watchman Nee". We first purchased this book back in 1995; a little while after I was saved. When I started to read it, I would experience severe headaches. Plus as I looked over the wording, I could not understand one single sentence. I quietly laid the book aside and did not try to read it again. Several years later, I came across the book again. I opened it. And WHAM!!!! I could read and understand everything Mr. Nee had written about the spiritual man. I then thought about the reason why I could not read or understand the book several years earlier. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me and showed me how I had matured in the things of God since then. Also since that time, the LORD God delivered me from a demonic stronghold that was lurking in my mind and body. This stronghold did not want me to mature in God and it prevented me from reading the contents of this book by giving me headaches.

The Point:

If you have problems reading the bible and spiritual books that focus on Christ Jesus or even watching spiritual movies that focus on Christ Jesus, then, you too, need to submit your life to God and get delivered from this demonic stronghold that might be lurking or exist unsuspectedly in your soul. Christ Jesus is waiting to save and set you free. Selah.

The Warning:

God is so Good, I just saw this warning written in Watchman Nee's book, "The Spiritual Man". This is exactly what I had experienced many many years ago. You do not have to wait so long as I did to understand the truths written in this book.

Readers: You should ASK God to keep Satan from preventing you reading it. Pray as you read; turn what you read into prayer. Pray that God will cover you with the helmet of salvation lest you forget what you read or simply fill your mind with innumerable theories. If God has graciously liberated you from the flesh and the power of darkness, you, in turn, ought to bring these truths to others. So after you have digested the book thoroughly and the truths have become your own, will you gather a few saints together and teach them the truths. If it is too much to use the entire book, then one or two parts would be profitable. The hope is that the truths herein will not be left unnoticed. Even lending the book to others to read would be a profitable thing.

INTENTIONS! INTENTIONS! INTENTIONS!

Whatever we do for the LORD, He always look at the intent of the heart. We can give to the poor or minister His Word from a pulpit. Again He's still observing the intent of our heart. Whenever we do the work of the LORD, we need to ask ...ourselves. What are my true intentions? Is God pleased with my intentions? Are my intentions pure and holy?

My husband and I once met a native African pastor who spent most of his time helping the poor in his communities. We believed that his intentions were pure at heart so we began to help him. Later in our relationship, he became offended at the way we did things and ended the relationship. We also found out the true intention of his heart in helping the poor in his communities. Whenever he travelled to America, he would tell sad stories and share sad photos regarding the poor in his country in order to gain financial assistance. To ease his conscious, he would spend a tiny amount of money to help the poor in his communities, but the bulk of the money was used to educate his children and help his own family. Christ Jesus knew that the intentions of his heart was selfishness and greed. The sad part to this story is he did not live to see his children grown. He later died of cancer.

When we do the work of the LORD, we need to search our hearts and make sure our intentions are pure and holy in the sight of God, not mankind; for we will truly reap what we have sown. Selah.

Note: This post is not intended to discourage a person from doing good, only to think about the intent of our heart when doing good. The good works may look good in the sight of mankind, but if the intent and purpose of the heart is wrong, then God is not pleased.
