The sons of a Chief Priest named Sceva tried to mimic the Apostle Paul. Their actions were not authorized by Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the demons did not recognize their fire. The same is true of those who "think" they are just as anointed as God's chosen and appointed servant. So they begin to mimic or imitate how they see God using His servant.
