Jesus Saves and Heals, too!

"Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth (Isaiah 53:4-7)."

When I think about the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, it overwhelms my heart with joy and praise to know he cared so much for me that he was willing to give his life. One day I was thinking about how he died for my sins and immediately Jesus spoke to my heart and said, "My people believe that I died for their sins, but they do not believe I died for their healing, too." I thought about it for a while. And then I said, "That's true!"

You need to understand something. I was raised around Christians who wholeheartedly believed that Jesus saves, but they made it look like it was "okay" to suffer sickness, disease, and poverty. By their actions, they taught me that it was against God's will for them to be healed or prosperous. It was their way of suffering for Jesus. So I made it a habit in saying "If it's God's will, He will do so and so." I did not realize this saying invited doubt into my life!

As I studied God's word, I found their actions to be false! It's a deception from Satan! A well used tactic against the children of God! Jesus died so we can have (abundant) life. The word abundant means plentiful which is an adequate supply. And this adequate supply involves all our needs. In other words, Jesus died so we could have abundant life and divine health on this earth now! But the prerequisite to this "God life" is obedience and faith in His word. Sure God's love is unconditional. But the fullness of His love is conditional.

That's why it's very important that we study the word of God—the Holy Bible—to learn about the conditions that God requires in order for us to live a healthy, prosperous, and gracious life in Jesus Christ. The word of God says, "It's impossible to please God without faith." Faith in the supernatural world is just like money in the natural world. And money moves people, places, and things. Now can you see and understand just how important faith is to God! Faith moves God! We must believe every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God — the Holy Bible. We must believe that Jesus the Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing, did not just die for our sins. He died for our sicknesses and diseases, too. The word of God did not say with his stripes we will be healed. It said, ". . . and with his stripes we are healed." That is present tense.

Jesus has already healed us! Let's put our faith to work and believe him! I know you're saying, "But I'm hurting because of this, that, and the other." I'm hurting too, but I'm also believing what God said. I'm healed! This is why I praise and worship Jesus night and day. I sing praises to His glorious Name. I stopped concentrating on my hurts, pains and the circumstances in my life and redirected my focus on God's goodness, mercy and grace. I give thanks, praise and worship to Him as often as possible. Because He's my life, He's my provider. He's my everything. In Him is my righteousness. My peace. My joy. He's my hiding place from the evil one of this world.

The scripture says that Satan is a thief. His goal is to steal, kill, and destroy whatever God has already given to His children. His goal is to send the spirit (or demon) of heaviness to all those that accept him. But Jesus said in Isaiah 61:1-3, ". . . The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me. . .To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."

The word "tree" is a symbol for "mankind" and "righteousness" means "right standing with God." So through Jesus Christ we are in right standing with God the Father. Don't let the liar (Satan) make you feel that you're not worthy enough to receive salvation and divine health from God the Father. In the Name of Jesus we must believe that we already received. You know, sometimes Satan comes and tell me the same lie. But you know what, when he does, I always say, "You're right! It's Jesus Christ's righteousness that makes me worthy in the sight of God the Father." Hallelujah! Praise God for the Lamb that was slain for the world! Glory to His Name! Always remember that Jesus not only saves, but he heals, too.

I want to share with you a true and honest "open vision" that God gave a young man whose wife has left him for another man. It seems as though God is drawn to hurting people. Everybody else may forget you, but God will never leave or forsake you. God not only showed this young man He cares about his situation, but He also showed him he has a hidden talent waiting to be used of Him. Here is the vision in the form of a poem.

Vision:

Last night, as I stood in my backyard hurt,
thinking and all alone,
An omen, or vision, or reality appeared to me,
and in a second or two was gone.

Four beautiful white birds,
orderly in unison,
and lovely in flight.

I said to myself, "Can this be, for I know not of
any bird that flies at night."
Whether omen, vision, or reality,
I honestly know not.

I know and believe what I saw,
but know nothing of what I thought.
I will by virtue of need call it a vision,
A subtle solution in a split second of decision.

My life is on a course full of hurt,
pain, and strife.
I think, "Yes. A vision to guide my
way to a changed and peaceful life."

Interpretation:

When this young man asked me about what he had seen. I spoke that which the Lord had given my heart to say. I first assured him that this was an open vision from God. The Holy Spirit told me to ask him how many people make up his immediate family. He said, "Four." Well the four birds symbolized him, his wife, and their two children. White is a symbol for purity. Satan had separated this man's family. If he would repent of his sins and obey God's word, then his family would be amended together again. But God must come first in his life in order to experience this unity and peace.

To Whom, Should Faith Begin and End?

The world has labeled God’s children as “faith healers” because they believe a person can “by faith” be healed. As I was watching a video clip on this subject, I began to observe the people who had come to be healed. As I continued to watch them, I was moved with compassion. I began to see that most of them their faith stopped at the “man” of God instead of continuing on to the “God” of the man. There is a difference.

When King Ahaziah sent his first captain with his army of 50 soldiers to tell Elijah to come down from top of the hill, the captain demanded Elijah to come down by saying, “Man of God, the king said to come down.” Elijah knew that they believed that he was a man, but they did not believe in his God. So Elijah said, “If If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty.” The God of Elijah was real and to prove it, God rained down fire from heaven and burned up the captain and his soldiers. A second captain with his army of 50 soldiers was sent and the same thing happened. A third captain with his army of 50 soldiers was sent, but this time the captain came believing Elijah as a man of God and also believing in the God of the man (2 Kings 1:9-15).

We must always remember that our Lord Jesus Christ use us as vessels or instruments. We are His Body. Without Him, we are nothing and can do nothing. It is very crucial that no matter how anointed and powerful the Holy Spirit use us to do His will, we must remember always to give the Glory to Jesus Christ. We must always teach the people to look, through us, to Jesus Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

If God has chosen you to be a leader in the office of an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and/or teacher, please remember to always lead the people to look through you to get to Jesus Christ. Don’t teach them to stop at you to get to Jesus Christ because no matter what you are called to be, as long as you are living on this earth you are a human being subject to fail. There are many unsaved people who refuse to even attend church because their faith was in the man or woman of God and not the God of the man or woman. When the man or woman of God failed in life, this discouraged them from serving the Lord. They were not taught to have faith in God. They were taught to have faith in the man or woman of God. No matter how the man or woman of God fails, we will not be judged for what they do. We will be judged for what we do. Every man and woman will give an account of their own deeds because through Jesus Christ, we can do all things (Philippians 4:13).

Created to Worship

God is GOOD! He is always concerned about His children. He knows every thought. Jesus Christ is “The Word”. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. The same “Word” is still dwelling among us today through His Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I submitted and committed my life to Jesus in November, 1994. He completely changed me. Like Mary Magdalene, I am very grateful to Jesus for what He did to and for me (Luke 8:2). Jesus truly love mankind--male and female (John 3:16). There are a lot of confusion as to rather a woman should be silent or not silent in public ministry; but this one thing I will tell you, when the Lord sets you free, and it does not matter if you are male or female, you cannot keep what He has done to yourself. We are compelled to share the "good news" of Jesus Christ in what He has done and will do for and through us.

I have been persecuted for many reasons since turning my life over to Jesus Christ. The most common persecution I continue to endure is the lack of freedom to express worship to Jesus Christ in the church. Are you surprised that the children of God are being persecuted at church--a place where the Lord has commanded us to assemble to praise and worship Him. Don't be!! Satan's most favorite place to visit is a dead and powerless church.

We must learn to praise and worship our Lord and Savior in any circumstance! For this is who we are--our Father's true worshippers.

John 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

I have been told by pastors, elders and laypersons in church visitations to either stop worshipping, to be quiet or to tone down my praise and worship to God. I know what you are thinking. You're thinking that maybe I was out of order and this is the reason why they told me that. Some of Jesus' disciples thought those same words about Mary, the sister of Lazarus, when she boldly entered the room and began to worship Him in a unique way. She poured costly oil on Jesus’ head and anointed and wiped His feet with her hair (John 12:1-8 and Mark 14:3-9). Some of His disciples wanted Jesus to feel and think the same way they did toward the woman, but the Lord told them to leave her alone. Everything Mary was doing were ordained and appointed by the Father. She was worshipping the Lord in preparing His body for burial. The disciples were spiritually blinded. They were caught up in their own way of doing things.

On another occasion, a woman came to Jesus and began to uniquely worship Him. This woman who was known as a sinner in the city came to Jesus. She may have been a prostitute. All her life she could find no man to love her unconditionally. Jesus not only loved her but He forgave her of all her sins. He never remembered or reminded her of the past. THIS IS TRUE LOVE. When she began to uniquely worship Him, she felt so unworthy to stand in front of Him, so she stood behind Him. She felled at His feet and began to cry and wipe His feet with her tears and dry them with her hair. She kissed His feet.

Romans 10:15
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Jesus did not stop her, but the men around Him within their mind began to mock her and judge Him for allowing her to do such a thing. The men said within themselves that if Jesus was truly a prophet that He would know what kind of woman was kissing His feet. Jesus knew their thoughts and rebuked them, but He did not stop the woman from worshipping Him (Luke 7:36-50). The host of the house, a Pharisee, failed to worship the Lord. He may have invited Jesus to eat at his house, but he did not intend to worship Him. Therefore it is possible to go to church without ever intending to publicly worship the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Jesus Christ said in Luke 9:26, “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.” Therefore, public worship in spirit and truth is an expectation from our Heavenly Father of His children. We were created to worship Him.

I was greatly encouraged by the Lord to continue thanking, praising and worshipping Him.  The Lord encouraged me by speaking a word through a man of God that did not know what I was experiencing.  Truly if we will humble ourselves before God, especially among our enemies, the Lord will exalt us (1 Peter 5:6-7).  Be sure to read and/or listen to the word of prophecy spoken through Evangelist Jack Coe, Jr on our next blog.

Prophecy by Jack Coe, Jr.

To Mrs. Terry B. King at BCC on September 6, 2009
INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

For the Lord would say unto thee my daughter:

"I have put a greater anointing and a spirit of rejoicing upon thee. And this rejoicing that is upon thee, it shall follow thee through thy house, through the grocery stores, everywhere that you come in contact with because my presence is upon you. You have asked for more of me, saith the Lord, and I am giving you more of me. Amen. The things that’s been hidden for generations and for a long time is going to be revealed. Hallelujah. For there is an appointed time and this is your appointed time, saith the Lord, to move into your realm of total victory. I know you love me because you tell me every day, saith the Lord, how much you love me. And you are a praiser. And you are a worshipper. And you have drawed nigh unto me and I am drawing nigh unto you."
